How to sell on Amazon.com if you are planning to sell new products that are not yet listed in the Amazon.com stores?  The answer is choose to become a Professional seller. As a Professional seller you could sell any new stuff or new products which are not listed in the Amazon stores with a monthly subscription fee as much as $39.99 + referral fee and variable closing fee per product sold.

As an Individual seller, you could sell or list your products in the Amazon.com stores up to two months or 60 days for free without any monthly subscription fee and you are only pay $0.99 per sale + commission (referral fee and variable closing fee) when your product is sold. Selling your products or stuff on Amazon is easy, fast and does not cost you a penny until your product sells. When the order has been placed for your product, Amazon will notify you through email and you just simply pack and ship the product to your customer's address. If your product is not sold within two months, you could relist your product or item again for free. 

Easy to follow step by step instructions how to sell your products or stuffs on Amazon.com for beginners which plan to choose as an Individual seller


Step 1

Visit Amazon.com, there are two ways to register yourself with Amazon.com either using Start here button which located on the top middle of the webpage or using Your Account button which located on the top right side of the webpage. I am prefer you to register by using Your Account button. Even though you don't have any account with Amazon.com you could do this. Click Your Account button and the next screen is Your Account page (In fact, you don't have any account with Amazon.com yet) and you don't have to sign in unless you are already have the account as a buyer or as an affiliate.


Step 2

On Your Account page, choose Sell Your Stuff. The next screen is Sell Your Stuff page. On the Sell Your Stuff page there is a box named Locate the item you'd like to sell. In that box select products category. There are 18 product categories such as Books, Popular Music, Video, DVD and etc. You need to choose one category that exactly matches with your product category. If you going to sell or list the product and your product category does not exist for an example mosquito net product then choose Everything Else category.


Step 3

Still on the box named Locate the item you'd like to sell. When the product category has been selected, then proceed to search the exact match product using 2 options. First option is Search by title or keyword(s) and the second option is Search by ISBN, UPC, or ASIN. Let’s me explain the first option where you need to search the exact match product using search by product title or product keywords. Enter the name of your product or enter any keywords that related to your product for an example, if you are going to sell or list the Nikon D3000 Digital SLR camera (under Camera & Photo category). You could use the keyword Nikon digital camera or Nikon D3000 or DSLR camera or etc. If you are ready then press the Start selling button. If you know the ISBN or UPC or ASIN of your exact match product then choose the second option.

What is ISBN, UPC, or ASIN?
ISBN is International Standard Book Number
UPC is Universal Product Code
ASIN is Amazon Standard Identification Numbers


Step 4

When you press the Start selling button the next page is a long list of products search results that might be match with your product. Choose a product that exact match with your product then press the Sell yours here button. If you couldn't find the exactly matches product with your product then you need to repeat the step 3 and do the search again and again with different title or keywords until you found one. If you are unable to find the product that listed in the Amazon.com stores which exact match with your product, meaning that you are unable to sell your product in the Amazon.com store unless you choose to become a Professional seller.


Step 5

When your press the Sell yours here button, the next page is the product condition where on this page you need to verify the product you are going to sell is exactly match with the one you just chose. If that product is not exactly match with your product then repeat the step 3 or step 4 again and again. Next, you need to select the products condition whether it is new, used-like new, used- very good or etc. Next is adding your comments about the condition of your product in the Condition Note slot, when done press the continue button and the next page is Price/Fulfillment.


Step 6

On the Price/Fulfillment page, you need to enter your price and the quantity of the product you are going to sell. Finally, choose your shipping method. There are two shipping methods and you need to choose one whether to ship your products to your customer yourself or lets the Amazon to ship and provides the customer service (Fulfillment by Amazon) to your customers when your products are sold. Fulfillment by Amazon or FBA is a program where the Amazon.com fulfillment center will keep your products and when a customer bought your product, the Amazon fulfillment center will pack and ship the product to your buyer. If you choose this method the Amazon fulfillment center will show you how to send your products to the Amazon.com warehouse when your product listing is completed and your product is available for sale when the Amazon fulfillment center received your products (the FBA fee will be applied). Press the continue button to proceed to the next page.


Step 7

Next page is Sign In page. As a seller you are requesting to sign in to protect your credit card and personal information. If you don’t have any account with Amazon.com, just enter your email address and select I do not have an Amazon.com password (the password will be created later) and press the continue button to go to the next page.


Step 8

The next page is Create Account. On this page you need to sign-in information by filling up your name, re-enter your email address, password and confirm your password then press the continue button to create your Amazon seller account under the account information. On the account information page you need to fill-up your seller display name, business address, valid day phone number where you can be reached during the registration process, enter your credit card information with valid billing address.


Step 9

Next is Identity verification by telephone where you need to enter the valid telephone number and click the Call Me Now button, when you click the call me now button the PIN number will be displayed on your browser and use this PIN number to verify your identity. Shortly, you will be called on the phone and enter the PIN number which shown on your browser and once the identity verification completed click Register and continue... button. Review your registration and your detail product listing and finally, confirm your listing...
