Step 1


This is the first step tutorial and instruction you need to do before you could list your item on eBay. When the registration is completed then you are ready to buy or sell on eBay. Visit eBay.com and register as a seller and make extra cash at home with eBay. On the eBay page, click the register link located at the middle top corner of the webpage or use the grey colored Register button at the down middle of the webpage. The next page is registration form. Under the Tell us about yourself section, fill up your first and last name, enter your home address or business address (street address), enter your primary telephone number and your email address and confirm your email address again.

Step 2


Next is Choose your user ID and password section. Create your eBay user ID and check your user ID availability by clicking on the Check your user ID button. If the user ID has been taken by someone, you have to create the new user ID or choose the one which recommended to you. If you create the new one, again check its availability. If the user ID is available then proceed to the next. Enter your password and re-enter it again.

Next, pick a secret question and enter your secret answer. The secret question will be asked in case you forget your password. If you answer the secret question correctly, your password will be sent to your email address. Next, enter your date of birth.

Step 3


Under The not-so-fine print section, enter the verification code hidden in the image. If you unable to read the code, click on the refresh the image link to get the new code and finally tick I agree that. Step 1


Visit PayPal.com and register as a member. On the PayPal page, click on Sign-Up link located on the top right corner of the webpage. The next screen is Create your PayPal account page. On this this page, use the drop-down menu to check your country of origin. This is very important to ensure the PayPal service is available in your country. If your country is not available, that means the PayPal service is currently not available in your country. If PayPal service is available in your country then choose your country and choose your language.

Okay friend, if your country is available then choose Premier account for individuals who want to buy and sell online. Some countries the Premier account are not available, then choose Individual account it's the same and click the Get Started button or Open an account button. If you are using your company name to buy and sell on eBay then choose Business account.

The next page is the Enter your information page. This page has a different requirement for different country. Basically, your email address, password, your full name, date of birth, nationality, your home address or business address and phone number are required. On this page, enter your email address, choose your password and re-enter your password. Enter your first name and last name, if middle name is available then enter your middle name. Enter your date of birth and your address. Enter your phone/mobile number. Finally click the Agree and Create Account button. By clicking the Agree and Create Account button, you agreed to the PayPal's User Agreement.

Step 4


Next page is the How you would like to pay for purchases? Normally there are 2 options if available in your country, pay with your bank account or pay with your credit card. Choose the one which applicable to you and enter the related information and later on you need to verify it. Click the continue button, finally the PayPal will request you to confirm your email address. Open your email which you used to register with PayPal and activate your PayPal account. Step 1


Go to eBay.com and login into your account, click on the Sell link located on the top right corner of the webpage and from the drop-down menu select the Sell an item. The next page is Welcome Sellers page where on this page click the green List your item button. Next page is Select a category, enter the category using the name of your item or using the UPC/ISBN number that similar with your item if available and click the Search button. Check the search categories result, tick or select the right category for your item or you could add extra category or second category using (small fee applied) browse categories button then click the continue button.

Next page is Choose a listing form. There are 2 forms, the More listing choices form and Keep it simple form. Select the More listing choices form. You could switch between more listing choices form and keep it simple form at any time.

Next page is the Create your listing page. Check your item categories under the Categories where your listing will appear section make sure it's the right categories for your listing.

Step 4


Under the List multiple variations of this item in one listing section, list your item multiple variations in one listing if available such as color, size and shape or you could left this option empty if there is no variations for your listing.

Step 5


Next is Help buyers find your item with a great title section. Enter the product title and choose the product condition. You could add subtitle for more exposure in the search result with small fee. Add product specifics to help buyers to find your listing in search result by enter the product material, style and product brand if available. Need more specific? You could add your own item specifics.

Step 6


Scroll down, under the Bring your item to life with pictures section. Add your item pictures by uploading the great pictures of your item from your computer. First picture is free and additional pictures with small fee. Add more pictures up to 12 pictures.

Step 7


Under the Describe the item you’re selling section. Enter the product description, use standard format or HTML format. Check spelling and you could enhance your listing by adding your product template or theme (small fee applied) and add visitor counter.

Step 8


Under the Choose how you’d like to sell your item section. Choose your selling format whether Online Auction (auction-style listing) or Fixed Price listing. If you select online auction, enter the starting price and if you want the buyers buy the product without bidding for it then enter the price under the buy it now and if the buyers use this option the listing will be close immediately. Enter the item quantity and auction duration. If you select the fixed price, enter the buy it now price. Add best offer if you’d consider the buyers best offer price. Enter the item quantity and the listing duration.

You could donate portion of you sales to your chosen non-profit and eBay will give you a credit on basic selling fees for sold item.

Step 9


Under the Decide how you’d like to be paid section. Select which merchant account you prefer to accept secure online payment. Most eBay sellers prefer PayPal to accept secure online payment, if PayPal service is currently not available in your country, you could choose Moneybookers, Paymate or ProPay to accept payment from buyers.

Step 10


Under the Give buyers shipping details section, choose or select the type of shipping cost and enter the shipping cost. Use the shipping wizard and research rates links to help you to determine the shipping cost and service which available inside and outside the US. If you are outside of the US and the services which offer to you to deliver the item to your buyer are not available in your country, you could choose economy shipping from outside US, standard shipping from outside US or expedited shipping from outside US and offer other service which available in your country using offer additional service link and enter the service of your choice. Finally select the handling time.

If the service you choose to ship or to deliver your item to your customer is unavailable in certain locations or certain countries or if the service you offered to your customers is unable to ship your product in time in certain locations or certain countries then you could exclude the shipping locations using Create exclusion list link, just to tell the buyers that you couldn’t ship this product to their location. Next, enter the item location where the item will be packed before deliver it to the buyer.

Step 11


Under the Other things you’d like buyers to know section. You could add buyer requirements where you could block certain buyers from bidding or buying your item. Return policy must be included either you accept or refuse product returns after the buyer received it. If you select returns accepted then select the time frame which you allowed the buyer to return the product after received it (item must be returned within). Choose the type of refund (refund will be given as) and select who will pay the return shipping cost. Write additional return policy details if you select to accept returns.

Next check the fee that will be applied to your listing and then click the Continue button.

Step 12


Next page is Review your listing page, look for the Make your listing stand out section, tick or select which ever you feel suitable for your listing (fee will be applied) to make it stand out on the search result.

Step 13


Under the Recommendations for your listing section add your item specifics to ensure more buyers could find your item such as the color of your item, shape, size, weight and etc.

Step 14


Preview and review your listing and if necessary, edit it to make any changes. Review the fees which will be applied to your listing and finally, click List your item button to complete the listing. Now, your item are ready... Yes, ready waiting for buyers so that you could make cash online.

If you’d like to check your listing, click My eBay link which located on the top right corner of the webpage and check your listing or any activities you have done or has been taking placed such as your items list, your sales and payment for your items.

Step 15: Important


Monitor your listing in My eBay. If you received any emails from your buyers or future buyers, response to them quickly. When you received the payment notification, pay and print the shipping label from My eBay section, pack and ship the item to your customer. Do not forget to give your buyer a positive feedback to build trust in you as a seller.
